Comet C/2019 E3 was discovered on 5 March 2019 when it was 13.65 au from the Sun and about 4.5 yr before its perihelion passage. Later a series of pre-discovery observations were found going backto 22 January 2015 (about 19 au from the Sun and 8.5 yr before its perihelion passage). In the moment of orbit determination this comet was still before its perihelion passage.

Thus, solutions (GR and NG) given here are based on pre-perihelion data and span over 8.30 yr in a range of heliocentric distances from 19.08 au – to 10.36 au.

This is Oort spike comet with original semimajor axis of about 34,000 au.
