C/2021 L3 Borisov
more info
Comet C/2021 L3 was discovered on 12 January 2021 by MARGO, Nauchnyi, that is more than a year before its perihelion passage.
Comet had its closest approach to the Earth on 23 November 2021 (8.33 au), about 2.5 months before its perihelion passage.
GR solution given here is based on data span over 3.85 yr in a range of heliocentric distances: 8.59 au – 8.46 au (perihelion) – 9.64 au.
This long-period comet suffers small planetary perturbations during its passage through the planetary system that lead to a more loose future orbit; and its original and future orbits have semimajor axes of about 9,100 au and 90,000 au, respectively.
